Artist Flemming Brylle (born 26 august 1935) and industrial designer Preben Jacobsen designed this pendant lamp in 1965 when they founded their company Quality System.
In the 2000s IKEA sold the Strips pendant lamp and table lamp as Lakene lamp. The name Lakene was re-used and today (2020) it is a LED recessed spotlight. The difference between the two is that the IKEA versions have recycling symbols moulded in the plastic.
This Pendant lamp does not have a symbol molded in the plastic and therefore is an original from the 70s. Which is also the information I got from the previous owner.
It does not come with a hanging. Those can be purchased at an hardware store for a couple Euros to match your exact needs (color, length, lightswitch, plug in etc).
