Very rare designer couchtable by Knut Hesterberg for Ronald Schmitt, Germany in the 1970s. 
The base is made of aluminium and the top is smoked glass. The glass has some light scratching and some wear along the side. But nothing outstanding considering the age. The base has some light uneven color on the base, typical for aluminium. 
 
Overall it is in great vintage condition. 
Comparable pieces are priced for up to 3000€.
