This is a truly stunning piece of craftsmanship from the 1960s/70s. The diningtable extends with a separate top hidden underneath when not needed. The top slides to the side in oder to make room for the addition. Of course the woodgrain is made to be continuous even with the extension.
The legs and construction underneath show how much craftsmanship and love for detail went into this piece. The table is marked with a Danish Design stamp and the N°1631.
I have not been able to safely attribute it to one Designer. But it is made in the Style of Johannes Andersen for Uldum. Where a lot of similar leg constructions can be found.
Condition: The top has some very light wear. One spot is dark due to some kind of burn. As can be seen in the pictures. But overall the condition is absolutely great considering the age. The color of the teak is very dark and maintains its distinct dark redish tone.
Just like all vintage pieces small signs of use are possible.
